Privacy Policy

Introduction

NAATI Vocab ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

What We DON'T Collect:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Location data
• Device information
• Usage analytics
• Browsing history
• Any other personal data

Local Data Storage:

The app stores the following on your device:

• Your settings — theme, accent colour, flashcard text size, sorting preferences, chosen language track, notification preferences, and sound and gamification options.
• Your learning progress — which words you have practised and your mastery level for each, XP, level, daily streaks, achievements, daily quest and drill progress, practice session history, and any exam date you set.
• Your purchase status — a local flag recording whether NAATIVocab Pro is unlocked. Apple's App Store, not this flag, is the authoritative record of your purchase.

This data:

• Is stored on your device using Apple's standard app storage
• Is not sent to us — we operate no servers and receive no copy of it
• Is controlled entirely by you
• Can be deleted by uninstalling the app

Optional iCloud Sync

iCloud sync is turned off by default. If you enable it (Settings → iCloud Sync), the app copies your learning progress — word mastery, XP, level, streaks, session counts, and achievements — into your own private iCloud account, using Apple's iCloud key-value storage, so your progress follows you across your devices.

That data goes to your personal iCloud and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. It is not sent to us and we cannot read it — we operate no servers and no account system. Your settings and purchase status are not synced.

Turning the setting off stops any further syncing. You can remove data already synced by deleting the app's iCloud data from your device's iCloud storage settings.

Third-Party Services

NAATI Vocab does NOT use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Purchases

NAATI Vocab offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, "NAATIVocab Pro," that unlocks the full vocabulary list and all practice modes. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using your Apple ID. We never see or store your payment details. Apple may collect purchase information in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. Your Pro status is stored locally on your device and recovered through Apple's standard "Restore Purchase" mechanism — it is not linked to any personal account we hold.

Data Security

Because we operate no servers and receive no copy of your data, there is no database of ours that could be breached. Data on your device is protected by Apple's standard app storage and your device's own security. If you enable iCloud sync, that data is protected by Apple's iCloud security and your Apple ID.

Children's Privacy

Our app does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for all ages.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
